Well it was a busy year last year and I am really pleased with some of the images I captured, here are a selection of my favourite images from last year.Click to view slideshow.

Mel and Richards wedding. Grange and Links Hotel, Sutton on Sea. 5 November 2011

Mel and Richard had a rather chilly wedding on Saturday in Sutton on Sea at the lovely Grange and Links hotel. A total pleasure to photograph this wedding, Mel looked absolutely beautiful, it was impossible to take a bad photograph of her. Richard was suitably nervous before the ceremony and I love the shot I have of Richard just prior to Mel arriving. As for the two fabulous flower girls, well if only everyone loved having their photograph taken as much as these two girls. Cant wait to shoot their wedding although I will have about a 20 year wait.

Great day shooting Carolines dresses around Lincoln. Got some lovely shots and managed to avoid the rain too. Thanks very much to Emma, Natalie and Laura out lovely models for the day.

Beth and Nicholas. Knights Hill Hotel, Kings Lynne.

Beth and Nicholas got married at Gedney church and then had their reception at Knights Hill hotel in Kings Lynne. Another great wedding to cover, Beth looked lovely and was really easy to photograph and both families had a blast at the evening party. My favourite photos from the day are when I took Beth and Nick into a farmers field and shot them in the evening sun in a corn field, they look fantastic. I also got out the photo booth for the evening and once again this was a real hit, with some great photographs from the evening party with all guests really enjoying themselves, this really comes across in the photography from the day.

Wed Fest was a blast and a half. This was a unique affair, three days camping, partying, oh and a wedding in there somewhere too. Burlesque babes and festival fairies was the dress code. A fantastic few days, cheers to you both we all had a top weekend.

Sarah and Rob’s Wedding. Normanton Park Hotel, Rutland Water. July 16 2011.

Sarah and Rob had one of the best weddings I have covered this year. A lovely ceremony was held in Baston church, and the reception was at the incredible Normanton Park Hotel on the shore of Rutland Water, a fantastic location for photographs. Sarah looked absolutely lovely and both her and Rob where just great to photograph, really relaxed and enjoying the experience. The day itself was full of emotion and poor Sarah had to put up with one surprise after another thanks in no small part from her mother who pulled out all the stops with a surprise horse and carriage, vintage car and opera singer (not all at the same time though). I have never seen a bride laugh and cry so much in one day.

The photographs are just great and really reflect the the fun and joy all of Sarah and Robs family and friends had on the day. In the evening I used the photo booth set up which was an instant hit and resulted in some really unique and fabulous photos that I know Sarah and Rob and their families will treasure for many years to come yet.

A real pleasure to be involved in this wedding all the very best to you both.

Steph and Greg had a fun packed wedding on 25 June in Kirton. Always a bit more pressure when you photograph a wedding for someone that you already know, but I am really pleased with the results. It was a day of firsts for me too; never photographed a bride on a tractor before, or a digger or a bouncy castle, but managed all of the above in one day, not bad for a days work.

The Peele School prom

Had a great night at The Peele School prom. I have never seen such an entrance before everything from Hells Angels to a shopping trolley. Good luck to all in your GCSE exams, hope you all get what you need. To all pupils, parents and staff, the password to access the site is headteachers second name and date of prom.

Amie and Carls wedding. Lincoln Cathedral.

Amie and Carl got married on 30 May at Lincoln cathedral and what an absolute privilege it was to shoot their wedding. All weddings to me are fantastic occasions and it is great to be involved in recording the events as they unfold, but there really was something special about shooting in Lincoln cathedral. Of course it rained from start to finish but this did not seem to matter on the day as it meant I had to shoot indoors and make use of the incredible architecture inside. This was a real challenge technically as the light was dreadful but I am really pleased with what I produced on the day.

Amie and Carl loved having their photographs taken and it was a pleasure to photograph a couple so in love with each other.

A great day to be involved in and all the very best to Carl and Amie for the future.

Sally and Rob’s wedding, Maxey near Peterborough.

Sally and Rob had an absolutely lovely wedding in Maxey. The ceremony was held in a very picturesque church in the village of Bainton and the reception at Lake Lodge in Maxey. The attention to detail that Sally and Rob paid to the day was incredible and the whole day had the flavour of a village fete. Sandwiches and cream teas where served in miss matching china which Sally had collected over the past year or so and the variety of cakes and sweets on offer was amazing. A great wedding to photograph with so much detail and an absolutely lovely couple. All the very best for the future to you both.
