Zoe and Franklin. Petwood Hotel, Woodhall Spa. 29 March 2014.

Well it has been a little quiet on the wedding front in January and February as it generally is but my wedding season got off to a flier on Saturday with the wedding of Zoe and Franklin at The Petwood Hotel in Woodhall Spa, a beautiful location that I know but have never shot in before. Zoe looked radiant and I got some great photos of the preparation in the morning, then a short trip through Lincoln to St Peters at Gowt Church where a very friendly and accommodating vicar allowed me full access throughout the ceremony. Why can’t all vicars be like this, it really is a source of irritation when I am prevented from taking photographs in the ceremony by some vicars, it is a huge part in the day and results in some very emotional photographs.

Anyway after the ceremony we arrived at The Petwood in time for a few group shots and then some beautiful portraits of Zoe and Franklin. The speeches where fantastic and Franklins in particular had the entire wedding party, myself included, in stitches. Definitely one of the funniest speeches I have ever heard and directly from the heart.

The evening again resulted in some great photo opportunities and as always the photobooth went down a storm.

Fantastic wedding Zoe and Franklin, thanks for choosing me to photograph it for you.
